Backing up your GnuPG private keys
When the need arose to transfer some of my GnuPG keypairs (both secret and public) to another machine, I found this:
gpg –armor –output <NAME_FOR_EXPORT_FILE>.asc –export-secret-key <YOUR_KEY_EMAIL>
This creates an ASCII armored export file you can import or store in a safe location in case you need it.
